The Fix
This is our pride and joy! We developed this treatment to be fast and effective for relieving pressure and stress on the Mind and Body. You will be completely clothed and no oils or lotions are used. This treatment has to be experienced in order to truly understand.
Each session of The Fix is customized during the treatment determined by the "resting posture" of the body. The better the body is able to rest the easier it is to manipulate the soft tissue.
Resting posture is observed by a specialized muscular therapist. A pattern is then identified. That pattern is "balanced" or "worked out" by the therapist. During that time the therapist will instruct on how to neurologically and consciously reconnect with their body putting them back in the drivers seat of life. As greater awareness occurs deep chronically tight muscles can be released and pain that has "been there forever" can go away.
Benefits include
- Increased body awareness
- Increases energy
- Stimulates motivation
- Decreased stress
- Decreased tension
- Eliminates pain
- Get better effeciency from muscles
CranioSacral Therapy
CST was pioneered and developed by osteopathic physician John E. Upledger following extensive scientific studies from 1975 to 1983 at Michigan State University, where he served as a clinical researcher and Professor of Biomechanics.CST is a gentle, hands-on method of evaluating and enhancing the functioning of a physiological body system called the craniosacral system - comprised of the membranes and cerebrospinal fluid that surround and protect the brain and spinal cord.
Using a soft touch generally no greater than 5 grams, or about the weight of a nickel, practitioners release restrictions in the craniosacral system to improve the functioning of the central nervous system.
By complementing the body's natural healing processes, CST is increasingly used as a preventive health measure for its ability to bolster resistance to disease, and is effective for a wide range of medical problems associated with pain and dysfunction, including:
- Migraine Headaches
- Chronic Neck and Back Pain
- Motor-Coordination Impairments
- Colic
- Autism
- Central Nervous System Disorders
- Orthopedic Problems
- Traumatic Brain and Spinal Cord Injuries
- Scoliosis
- Infantile Disorders
- Learning Disabilities
- Chronic Fatigue
- Emotional Difficulties
- Stress and Tension-Related Problems
- Fibromyalgia and other Connective-Tissue Disorders
- Temporomandibular Joint Syndrome (TMJ)
- Neurovascular or Immune Disorders
- Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Post-Surgical Dysfunction
Acupuncture
Qi is the Life Energy that animates the body and protects it from illness. It flows through a series of pathways called called Meridians, and provides nourishment for ever cell, tissue, organ, and gland. Blockages in the flow causes dis-ease. Acupuncture was designed to open those blockages to ensure optimal health.
Your acupuncturist will begin by taking a full health history. Thia may include asking questions, assessing the pulses, looking at the tongue and/or abdominal palpation. Theses are effective diagnostic tools that enable your acupuncturist to obtain a clear picture of your overall health.
